Samsung Series 9 OcUK Warranty Check

Please can I check what warranty the S27B970D and S27B971D monitors from OcUK come with?

I purchased the S27B970D from this offer which states 3 years. The product itself is however no longer available or listed.

The similar offer or the S27B971D also states 3 years, but the product listing states 2 years On-Site.

A search of the Internet reveals similar discrepancies across various sources. I don't actually need to make a warranty claim and I hope I never do. But it would be nice to get the official word on how long it runs for and if it is Return-To-Base or On-Site.

Hi,

It appears that the Samsung range is now a 2 year warranty. - However, with Samsungs as you are probably aware they make extremely great monitors that tend to last a while. I am using a few Samsungs myself, and some are way over 5 years already, and I use them constantly every day.

used my syncmaster 2693HM for last four years and it's moved house twice without issue. Solid monitors

I own and have owned several Samsungs and have never had to call up their customer services or arrange a repair under warranty. They used to have some real issues with CapXon capacitors, as did several other vendors. Fortunately they use better capacitors now.

Thanks. I guess that is the situation now. But what about people who purchased from the linked offers? Are they 3 or 2 years, return-to-base or on-site?

If you purchased when it had 3 years warranty stated, then you will be covered for that, however as far as I am aware it is return to base.

My invoice doesn't state either way and so all I have is the forum post detailing the offer.

I have managed to find my registration/warranty details on the Samsung website and it states:

I also found this UK spec sheet which states; 2 years. Onsite exchange warranty. Pick up service optional.

Both of which make it look more like a 2 year warranty. However
searching pulls up competitor sites which also had it listed as a 3 years when it was in stock.

All very woolly...

If it was stated for 3 years when you purchased, we will help you with the cover if you need it.

Thanks that is re-assuring.

The touch-sensitive control panel on my monitor has gone potty a couple times and although this was fixed by a full mains power off/on it made me want to look into the warranty just in case it becomes a bigger problem in the future.
