Alright, here's a decent blag:
Browsing Groupon this morning as you do, I see this offer to write children's stories with a semi-legitimate looking company, 96% off it says. Now I'm into a bit of writing and needed some motivation so I looked closer.
The course is an online, go at your own pace sort of thing you see all over the place. But, this one has plenty of reviews on trustpilot saying that while it might not be great, it does at least look legit, and their site does indeed say the price is what the Groupon claims (unlike most others).
Now, you may ask, why would you care? Well, this course has been accredited enough to gain NUS status, meaning you can get your hands on an NUS card for an absolute fractional price.
The NUS Extra card has got discounts all over the shop and you can be sure loads of other places will offer discounts too if you flash the card.
The course is usually 389 quid or so but Groupon has it for £14, the NUS card is another £12 so you get all the discounts scummy students for a whole year without the extortionate tuition fees, the 18 year olds getting drunk for the first time or even having to do any of the work.
Whether or not you fancy yourself a writer is beside the point, get on it and get some of the top deals.
I've been through it all and recommended it to some of my mates already, we've all got our confirmation emails and whatnot saying the card (which is a proper thing with photo ID etc.) in the post.
Have some of that.
