US: The Walking Dead Season 5 (contains spoilers)

It will. Place bets now on the first half being them sitting around in the train cart and the 'mid finale' them all escaping from it :D

picked up? there was about 3 good episodes over the entire 16!

i really hope they give 5 a decent budget and make it 8 episodes, go out with a bang so to speak.

Sounds about right :D
Some of the new characters probably get killed for food on the journey.

my money is on any black people since the show is kinda racist in that regard :p

Season 4 was a preview of what to expect until it inevitably gets canned. Viewers will only watch it for so long until they get tired of the drip-fed, patronising roll-eyes storyline, then it'll be wrapped up in a rushed series of 4 'finale' episodes.

It's a shame as I loved the 1st 2 seasons but it's gone the same way as too many other shows, it's nothing but a cash cow.

They need to up the shock value of the show.

When i watch it, i want to think 'OMG did that really just happen'?

I want them to push the shows limits as far as the network will allow.

Hoping season 5 is better than the previous. Season 4 was possibly one of the most disappointingly atrocious seasons of any show I've ever watched.

So disappointing compared to what it could have, and used to be!

What they need to do is the same as breaking bad, pick and end and stick to it.

Don't drag it out.

Hah, AMC are greedy as hell, they're going to milk this as long as they can, there's still loads of comic story to use too.

They just showed a man, slicing open another man the length of his torso after he was about to rape a child.

Tell me where you want this to go exactly?

also the previous episode where a child kills her helpless younger sister in order to turn in her into a zombie and was planning on doing the same to a baby

it's a tv show after all not a banned movie, i think it needs to pick a side between realism or comic based show rather than switching between the two all the time. comics were never based on realism or attempt to be realistic in any way.

Wasn't 'shock factor', that was just sick.

Take game of thrones, as someone who has never read the books. One of the last episodes where king rob, his wife and mother all got killed. Now that left me  lost for words. Can remember mrs mentioning her Facebook going mental. Now that is shock value.

I don't have facebooks or anything like that but I still very doubt anyone at all mentions walking dead anymore. It is dragged up dribble, that why. We still watch it just hoping that something interesting might happen but it never does. You know what is going to happen 10 minutes before it happens, so predictable.

Dunno why people are moaning the whole show has been very slow. But for me still enjoyable. Back on hershals farm house whenever that was felt far slower than season 4

For those that read/read the comic does it have a ending or is it still going ? And if so how far are we into the story ?

I thought the 2nd half of S4 dragged out too much, for me the hightlight was the first one of the second half of S4, and the episode where the girls die and the last episode. The rest were just "fillers"

Comic is still going, I read an article the other day from someone trying to analyse at which point the TV show might catch up to the comics and they surmised it would be at around season 10 based on current trajectory. Obviously all speculation, however the comic shows no sign of stopping any time soon.

I quite enjoyed season 4, not sure why so many people disliked it so much.
