I tried to open a bit-tech forums account 4 weeks ago.
I followed this up with various emails to the forums admin because it didn't get activated, but never got a reply.
Then today I get this email...

"Unfortunately your registration at bit-tech.net Forums did not meet our membership requirements.

We may not have been able to make a definitive decision on your account due one or more of the following reasons:

- IP address in known/previous spammer range
- Suspicious username or email address

Your registration has been declined.

Sorry, bit-tech.net Forums team"

Makes you feel welcome doesn't it?

Bit just changed ownership so maybe they're still getting to grips with things.

Nice to know we are your second choice.

Welcome

To be honest, when I knew I was getting a water cooled system to rebuild, I didn't know where to start but the guy who gave me the system used bit-tech so I just followed suit. I couldn't care less any more because I like it here. ;)

Their equivalent of General Discussion has the slogan "Cheesecake Clearance Sale Now On". Cheesecake is such a poor choice of cake, clearly it's not a forum worth joining.

Locked your thread. Hope that makes you feel welcome here! ;)

Only kidding, locked the thread as I don't feel we need to be discussing other forums moderation rules/account approvals.

I'd advise emailing one of their admins if you are that bothered.

Enjoy the forum, the forum you only need. :)
