So you're saying you pick a table with a young kid you can con into paying out when they aren't supposed to. Or you know the guy and he knows when he can get away with paying out when he shouldn't.

Lmao. No. That's stealing and you will most certainly get caught doing that. Not only are they listening to every transaction they can also count chips on CCTV.

I'm pretty sure you can make a group of bets too, where there's basically no chance of you doing anything less than breaking even. Could be wrong, though!

you are... any bet you place in roulette has a negative expectation attached to it.

Short of finding a faulty wheel (not going to happen these days) or using some form of electronic device to cheat you're not going to be able to beat the game... you can merely be lucky for short periods.

Roulette is a hit and run game, if the luck is on your side short term then happy days. Long term, the casino always wins - due to simple probability.

I've seen too many people lose too much money to ever be a fan.

Just keep away from it unless you're a slow learner and need a hard lesson.

The only casino games you can win are those played against other people.

Yeah but the game he won wasn't really poker - it was: Daddy did a few naughty things on the stock market back in the 80s and now I've got a big trust fund....

When I worked in a bookies last year this was the best I saw someone do playing Roulette on the machines. Came in about 11am put in £35, played for about 1 hour and got to this.

I would have cashed it out long ago but he just carried on playing...and off course losing...cashed out about £800. Gave him the cash and as he was walking away...he couldn't help but have another spin. Ended up putting in another £600 in and losing it all.

To say more people lost than won would be an understatement :p

Personally I sometimes play when I visit the casino to play some Poker, which I do about once a month (normally on pay day :D), but prefer Blackjack although shouldn't really play either as in the long run will always lose.

Roulette is the quickest way to lose money! (casino experience).

Best casino experience for me is to play 3 card poker/brag. £8 lasted me half an hour or so. Really good fun when there's you and your mates are playing the same table :-) Slot machines are ok, pretty much random. I played one called "book of ra" on 40p or 50p play and it gave me a feature that went for £30.

i live a couple of hundred yards down the road from a military base, and a few doors away from a bookies that gets filled with gurkha's
ive seen some of them trying to cash roulette tickets of 3-5k on more than a couple of occasions only to be told to come back later while they get an area manager round to supply the cash
but i also know one of the chef's from the military base that knows a lot of the gurkha's and said many of them have spunked all their money in the bookies
the gurkha's cant gamble at home as its illegal, so when they come here they go crazy for gambling

LOL and that's different to live roulette how?

Let's just say it's not entirely random. I've seen people try the double up or the thirds method before and time and time again the system realised what's happening and will not return a winning hand if the process is repeated.

Careful with the online ones, friend of mine knows how they're programmed and it's very much in the casino's favour.

Your mate is talking BS. Online casinos have to have their games checked by an independent source to both check odds and their randomization algorithm.

Roulette is already stacked in the Casinos' favour with true random play, why risk jail/losing your gambling license by trying to edge it even further?

Niether of those methods improve a player's long term odds so there would be no point trying to thwart stake strategies (they get the players before the casino in the medium term anyway).

No I don't like or enjoy gambling. There's something I just cannot justify about it, and I get no enjoyment out of it and do not get the "thrill" associated with it.

Occasionally stick a few bob on roulette if I'm in the casino but prefer Blackjack or Three card poker where there is a bit of skill involved along with the random chance. That said if you win then at 36 to 1 it's not a bad return. Mate of mine had a lucky night once and had a few £10/£20 bets on specific numbers come in, walked out with a couple of K in total.

Try the 'play for free' option that some gambling websites have. You may just get lucky. When you start playing with real money, the winning streak ends very suddenly.

I wonder if there's a market for the 'shell game' online?

I've noticed this....it's amazing how many times you win on the free games. Funny how the minute you start playing with real money, your luck seems to vanish!

Ignoring the fact that a casino won't let you double up if they spot you doing it, surely you could, mathematically, win as long as your losing streak doesn't end up with your stake breaching either the table limit or your own cash pot?

Mathematically yes, but the amount of money you would need to minimize the risk and the small winnings isn't worth it. 15 loses in a row just doubling from a pound and you're already up to over £15000 I think, it would be unlucky, but it can happen.. My maths isn't great though. :p
