The Goonies sequel confirmed by Richard Donner!!!

I had quite a deprived childhood and only watched this when I met my wife. Needless to say, it was a fantastic film and I really enjoyed it.

So very much looking forward to this :) Let's hope they can deliver like the original, without any hint of "the famous 5"!!
 
Would be good to see what Feldman has left in the tank in terms of acting. But if this film happens, it will surely be terrible :(
 
There's a few of them don't act anymore.

Loved the Goonies and no way can a remake be as good as my childhood memories, but I would still watch it just not certain if I would pay to go to the cinema and see it.

Normally I'd agree with that, but with something like The Goonies, not knowing how mundane their lives became upon growing up does actually add to it.

At it's roots, Goonies was a coming of age film. We finished with the kids full of confidence and optimism for the lives they were to face going forward. Leave the mythos right there and don't spoil the good feeling by showing what actually happened. Cos, y'know, growing up is **** really - especially when your childhood is filled with one-eyed-willies. Or something
