The Raid 2: Berandal Trailer

Are they sneaking this one out then? I was looking forward to seeing the poster plastered all over the side of our local Arriva buses. Not one.

Just had a look at the Vue cinemas website, doesn't appear to be that widespread a release, London Picadilly being the only one listing. Thank God it's not too far away from me then. I'm in Leeds :(

yeah, the 11th. Forgive my ignorance, I'm not a regular cinema goer, but don't cinemas list the movies they are planning on showing until a few days before release?

Managed to see this last night at an advanced double screening, both films back to back.

Have no fear.. it is incredible!!!

I can't think of one fault.. and where as the first Raid was all action, small on story and a few wow moments the sequel has all the crazy action, a much more deep and developed story and waaaaay more wow moments.

The final fight scene is one that will go down in history as one of the greatest in film.. it is astounding and it is a great achievement but the whole team getting something that complex onto film. It is intense!

I loved it and can't wait to see it again!

Wait there making another. i did not think the first one was any good?
Maybe i will have to watch the first one again because i am not convinced i would bother with a 2nd. and i did no think that trailer was very good.

Just back from seeing this, and I agree wholeheartedly. That final fight scene was absolutely incredible. As soon as it ended, I just thought "... that might be the greatest fight scene I've seen since... well, The Raid."

Saw it today.

I didn't think they would be able to top the fights in the first one...I was wrong! I read an interview with the main guy, and they said that no one was seriously injured during any of the fight scenes.

A lot of bruises though...

I would say that they successfully pulled it off, and kept things ticking along nicely, with never a dull moment.

My question is, for those who have seen it:

How did mad dog survive the beatdown he got after his throat was cut in the first one, or was it a case of them casting the same actor for a different role?

I thought he looked familiar but I didn't know from where haha.

Edit:
Looking at the original trailers, there's been a massacre on a set of stairs completely cut from the film

That might be the deleted scene I saw on YT.. pretty graphic so I guess I can't embed it here.. but searching for the raid 2 deleted scene will get you it...

Don't know why they cut it tbh!

Going to see it tonight, going to flying kick my way out of the cinema, straight into an ambulance, probably.

I tried to get the missus to watch the first one, she wasn't sold on me telling her it was just a more violent version of the power rangers.

Just watched this last night.

Absolutely brutal - I'll never look at a hammer or baseball bat in the same way again. An exhilarating watch, and without a doubt the most violent film I've ever seen - and that includes "I Saw the Devil".

Seen this last night too, that fight in the kitchen is probably one of the most intense fighting scenes of all.

Had to contain myself in the cinema from shouting boom headshot near the end.

Saw this last night too, seems they used the extra 50 mins over the first to add an actual story but dear god the film is brutal still. I was starting to think they had cut action and gone for more an actual film, well right up until the last bit Rama walks into the office.

As this follows on so closely after the first, going to epic to sit down and watch them back to back - 4 hours of bloody brutal violence :D
