Wasn't she the girlfriend of the guy who has just been sent to prison for glorifying he Death of Lee Rigby?

English law should come second to nothing in court.
 
intersting that they were both convicted of distributing terrorist material.

and also that the police refused top proceed with the caretakers claim of assault untill he went back a second time to make the accusation. despite there being enough evidence to obtain a conviction

the police more and more don't seem to want to get involved in anything to do with muslims

I have to admit, I thought this would be a standard Muslim bashing thread, but it actually raises some very interesting points.

For me, as with most things in law, wearing the veil should be related to te nature and significance of the alleged crime. If the crime is far removed from religion, and if the defendants looks are unlikely to play a significant role in affecting the jury's decision (fraud, for instance), then I see no reason to disallow the veil. In other circumstances, the law of England and Wales has to prevail.

They were part of the faction at Finsbury park mosque who were angry at the caretaker for showing round some tourists wearing western dress, not covering their heads etc... Finsbury park mosque + being on the fundamentalist side in itself indicates they're likely more along the bat **** crazy side of the Islam spectrum. I mean this is the same place Abu Hamza had his little following of wannabe jihadis.

And of course the husband is one of the retards who goes around trying to enforce sharia law etc...

I find the prospect of a militant Islamic faction spreading in this country genuinely scary.

And let's face it, if it comes to crunch time, militant Islam would defeat moderate Islam, because they're prepared to intimidate & murder.

Honestly, if UKIP pledged to introduce legislation to ban Sharia "law", I'd vote UKIP. Integrate into Britain and live within our laws or sod off, frankly.

And that applies whoever you are and wherever you came from.
 
On the subject of the veil itself - the compromise isn't unreasonable, as long as she isn't going to actually testify then I don't see a huge need in having it removed. If she wants to dress up as a ninja, or has chosen a husband who demands she put a ninja suit on then that's her call.

That is fine but in court we testify with our faces uncovered. We should not pander to minorities.

I just don't get it....if i went to a muslim country sprouting similar wouldnt i have my head cut off?
Over here in England its ok to do that it seems.
Ive only been over in England for 4 months regarding work and i do not like what i see and hear over here in the UK but i can tell you this, ill be glad to get back to the land of Eire as we dont stand for it over there.

Good muslims surely want to live in a muslim country? anyway? not somewhere corrupt where alcohol and skin is everywhere


How do they even get into this country without revealing their face anyway? one rule for customs another for court? what about the bank? petrol station?

So why can't we wear a motorbike helmet or a balaclava? but they can wear a veil? makes perfect sense

No wonder the radicals think they can force sharia law
