Getting Best Deal from Audi

So scrapped the finance plan, and going down the bank loan route. Works out to be about £2k cheaper, so cheers for the suggestion guys.

Loan has already been approved as well :D

Why are A6's so much cheaper than the 5 Series :(

Dunno, this is what I found, there is a huge difference in prices for similar spec cars...I bought Audi for that reason and saved myself almost £5k. (The Audi dealership had far better customer service as well, which just added the final nail in the BMW)

Tell them you are already accepted for the bank loan, and it won't be holding finance against the car, so for you to go with them, they need to better the bank.

Have fun...

So I mentioned the bank loan to Audi and they are now willing to match the APR and repayments... popping down there tomorrow to see what their numbers work out to.

I would be taking them up on their £500 deposit contribution and 2 years free servicing as a part of Audi Solutions then exercising my right to withdraw within the first 14 days and paying it off with a bank loan.

I certainly wouldn't be securing finance against a car when I could get a personal loan for the same rate.

This looks like a great buy:
http://www.audi.co.uk/used-cars/use...heshire/604328300-28423.aspx?srcmdc=se_na_re_

It has as optional extras:
- Tech pack (larger screen, MMI high touch, full colour larger driver information screen, google maps, wifi, bluetooth high etc)
- Top of the range Rotor 20" alloys
- Privacy glass
- Dab radio

It potentially might also have the reversing camera (in addition to front/rear sensors) but impossible to tell without seeing the car or contacting Audi.

Another option is this one:

Has the tech pack and different upgraded alloys.

Is it just me who thinks 20" alloys on a diesel repmobile are idiotic? They look ridiculous and half decent tyres are about £300 each.

They totally ruin the ride quality of the A6 as well. Which is kind of the point of owning something like an A6 I would have thought.

Most people seem to go for the Pirelli P Zero's at £190 a corner so a long way off £300.

I test drove the A6 S-Line with 18"/19"/20" alloys as the model I found had 19" and I was contemplating swapping them with another car on the forecourt that had 18". I found the difference between 18 and 19 just noticeable but there was a clear difference in ride quality between the 18 and 20 which made bumps in the road more noticeable.

I tried all three as well, went with the 18's on the S-Line as it had the better ride and doesn't look quite so bling as the Rotors, rotors look better on the A5/A7, they just look too much on the saloons. For me anyway.

How does that work then? I take their offer and then within 14 days I withdraw, pay off the finance and end up keeping the free services?

Ride comfort was key for me, so anything larger than 18" is definitely a no no.

That's cheaper than I thought, are those run flats?

I wouldn't say so. You can pick up the kits on ebay for a fraction of the cost. Or you can pay a professional to do a MUCH better job for the same cost.

I've had 20" alloys on both the XF and the XJ and the ride quality is very good and looks much better than smaller wheels IMO
