Grain of salt as its wccftech.

So summarizing, we have the first basic idea about the upcoming 20nm Pirate Islands GPUs from AMD. We know all of them should feature the DirectX 12 Hardware feature set and unless this road-map is completely off (very unlikely) then we will see Pirate Islands well before the year is over. Of course anyone could have figured out this road-map with a bit of common sense (Maxwell 20nm is due in about the same time frame of second half of 2014) but it helps to have solid and to the point information. So this is it folks, the first reference point to all future speculation and leaks on Pirate Islands from AMD.

None of these or the new maxwells have taped out yet so July/August would be pushing it I reckon.

Wouldn't expect to see anything until late in the year if not early 2015 from either camp. On the basis gk110 has been floating about for over A year now in one form or another as nvidias flagship I'd expect them to make the first move. Hawaii is only, what, 6-8 months old? Can't see amd cutting its life span at a year.

I could make the same thing in paint in maybe 10 minutes, Wish people would stop making up rumors in the industry it's getting so old.

There is a slim chance, but increasing by the generation I would say, that AMD could push to making gpu's at Glofo, while TSMC leaks on tapeouts have been regular for years, we don't know if we'd hear the same info about a tape out on Glofo. So there is a chance we could see a surprise release of glofo made AMD gpu's. Not a huge chance but some, FD-SOI has looked for a couple years like it could have a pretty significant advantage at 28-20 and maybe 14nm. Being that 20-14nm(glofo), and 20-16nm(TSMC) are related processes using the same equipment and base metal layers it would be more feasible to make the change to Glofo for the 20nm jump rather than the 14nm one.

Would be interesting to see what Glofo/FD_SOI could do.

I really don't understand why people are we worried about the chart. Its no doubt be copied off a n internal version for whatever reason if its true.

God if the police judged the information based on the state of the phone box they received it from very little crimes would be solved. Crazy absolutely crazy. Its the information that counts.
