HIS announced a Radeon R9 290X IceQ X² Turbo graphics card with a higher GPU factory overclock of 1060 MHz. The memory on the card is left untouched at 5.00 GHz, at which it belts out a memory bandwidth of 320 GB/s, thanks to its 512-bit wide memory interface. The card is among the only R9 290 series boards featuring a blue-colored PCB, in signature HIS fashion, and an IceQ X² cooling solution with a soft-gold color shroud and back-plate. We're not sure how well that goes with blue. The cooler is a large aluminium fin-stack heatsink that's ventilated by a pair of 10 cm fans.

MY EYES!

I quite like the HIS design and colour schemes - mostly - the leaf blower style on the boost cards always looked well, but tbh I'm not overly fussed on this design and colour - just don't like the gold, personal preference and all.

Other than that - impressive factory overclock - it always looks to me that the factory overclocks leave a bit to be desired - but on these, do we think these cards could push the clocks abit further?

I'm not sure what's worse, the champagne coloured cooler, the blue PCB or the pathetic excuse for a backplate.

It is a rancid combination though. Gold? cooler, blue pcb and black backplate - what the hell were they thinking?

There must be some cross company competition/bet on who can create the ugliest gpu of all time, there must be!!!
