The Witcher 3 - GTX780Ti Pushes 35-45fps At Max?

According to Gametech, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a very demanding title; a title that a single GTX 780Ti struggles to run when higher levels of AA are enabled. As the Russian gaming website noted, the PC version runs currently with all its bells and whistles enabled (plus 8xMSAA) with 35-45fps on a GTX 780Ti at 1080p. Naturally, a single 780Ti is able to hit the 60fps sweet spot in its current form provided MSAA is lowered.

Moreover, it is said that the PS4 version will run at 900p/30fps while the Xbox One version will run at 720p/30fps. What's also interesting is that the console versions of the game will meet the minimum graphics settings of the PC version. Gametech claimed that The Witcher 3 on consoles will look similar to The Witcher 2.

All I can say if you are an AMD hardcore Witcher gamer, then if you want ALL the bells and whistles, and finish the trilogy in it's full glory, then sell up and get a 880ti/Titan 2/(SLi:D)-could February 2015 be the launch of Nvidia's next top end gpu?

Featuring Gameworks/PhysX, I'm hoping the figures quoted are true that the 780ti can only push 45fps max(on the provision that the 780ti drivers are fully optimised for W3@launch) on hoping that it's truly pushing the capabilities of the PC to it's full potential.

Then hopefully more devs take the same approach and push the PC instead of equalling console ports.

Same never played the first two and can't see myself either any time soon.

Played the first, got so far with the 2nd, it was one of the best, if not the best looking game at the time by far but I couldn't get into it despite putting a lot of hours into it.

780TI at stock 45fps but i guess turning off motion blur as Witcher II was a blur fest might net you some fps. As will overclocking the 780TI i think 50fps could be met. With 4xMSAA it is probably 60fps. This is normal who could run Crysis or Witcher II when it first came out 60fps maxed?

Personally i think they are talking bull. A ps4 will meet the minimum spec lol. What this article is saying is that anything below a 7850/7870 won't be running this game at 900p minimum spec. I doubt many people will be picking this up as they simply won't be able to play it. Maybe they are trying to hype the visuals but surely nobody is stupid enough to bring out a game that looks so good the majority can't run it.

On this evidence i could not run this game on my pc at 1080p as my ps4 has a better gpu than i have.

I can play any game at 1440p with one HD 7850, lowest settings I have ever had to use for 60fps at that res is medium which really isn't that bad, one of the reasons why I am just about stopping myself from getting a R9 290. Save for that 20nm :)

You would have been better off with one of the new pentiums coming out and a maxwell 750ti than a PS4 for Witcher III. You could have got 8GB of 2400mhz for under £50 on this weeks only.

It will be interesting when they launch to see how they stack up as you can build a pretty awesome little box now for good money. It all depends on the price of the board and cpu and this anniversary pentium.

The gpu inside the ps4 has the edge over a 750 ti and it's also programmed straight to the metal so no i doubt i would be better off. I am a PC fan for it's pure power but i am no PC snob to right off what the ps4 can do after seeing a few decent release games. I have played 2 ps4 only games in Killzone and Infamous and they both easy rival pc's best titles.By rival i mean they could easy have been made for the pc and be classed as good looking games. I can't see the witcher 3 on lowest settings looking better than these games.

I am skeptical to say the least. I know how powerful a pc is but i know a ps4 is around as powerful as a mid range pc in the graphics department.

I thought 750TI beat it in BF4 and TitanFall as well you sure it has the edge? The CPU would be smashed by the anniversary unlocked Pentium though but you would pay a little more.

I messed around just to gauge the price of such a box and got this for £437 but you would hope the pentium would fit in to make it £500 or £530.

750TI
Kingstom Hyper X Beast 8GB 2400mhz
Z87-K mobo
Crucial M550 128GB
OCUK BD Drive
Corsair Carbine SPEC-01 Case
EVGA 450W 80 Plus

The 750ti is easily outclassed by the r7 265 which is lower spec than the gpu inside the ps4. The cpu inside the ps4 is pretty week but as we have seen from mantle with closer to the metal programming you don't really need a strong cpu. The ps4 api is much closer to the metal than mantle so i doubt the cpu will be holding anything back and they can most likely do a lot more with the Gpu.

Never judge early Console games on what a console can do. Bf4 like quit a few games are ports to the new consoles and pretty much an after thought. I say new consoles i really just mean the ps4 as the Xboxone is a poor excuse for next gen anything.

Witcher 2 looked great but despite trying ot for 3 or 4 hours i could really never get into it i expect witcher 3 will be the same for me .
I do agree with tommy i do hope games need a top end current card to get say 30-40 fps maxed out and start making pc gaming much better

Really looking forward to this game, big part of the reason im currently buying a new rig. Finished the second one but never made it past act 2 of the first one.

lol. 780ti will do just fine. Like someone else said here. Crysis can't even be played with max settings on 780ti. This post must be a joke?

The 35-45 FPS may well have been from a stock 780 Ti at stock volts for all we know. So I wouldn't take this too seriously just yet. Besides, the 8xAA point has been brought up already and if I remember this game is slated to have TXAA as well.

So what if it was stock volts and clocks (is theie such a thing a stock clocks anymore (GPU boost varies from to card)? Also you shouldn't assume higher clocks will automatically mean higher fps.

I would to see how much drag uber sampling is having on performance, if its anything like Witcher 2 then disabling it will result in much higher fps.
