Where to buy tyres?

I've always found LoveTyres to be the cheapest in the past, but Camskill have got an offer on Eagle F1s at the mintue, in 225/40/18 anyhoo.

Please don't shout at me... But... eBay? I have 225/50/17 all round on my Astra, £100 a tyre, or can get a pair of 225/45/17 for £77.50 ;) so just waiting for those to be delivered..

What tyres are they?

I used oponeo last year for my winter tyres and I've just bought some MPSS from tyre leader as they were cheaper. Both well priced and provided a good service.

Got my tyres earlier this week, went to take another look at the old ones and noticed I was misreading my depth indicator :o
Instead of mostly around 2.4mm they're more like 4mm, so the dilemma - to change or not to change?
Storage for the four new tyres isn't much of an issue at the moment..

if you've no problem with storing, may aswell run the others down

Either wait till they're down at a couple of mm or ask the garage to give you them back and fire on eBay. If new ones are circa £120 some mug will give you £40 a tyre @ 4mm

Have I got a chance getting a part worn place to change them and asking them to chuck me a fiver a tyre for the privilege of keeping them? :p

Well maybe, but what's the point in that when they're worth more and it'll be little to no hassle to get it?

I also wouldn't trust a part worn joint to balance with the new rubber on properly ( generic statement - but they don't tend to care much)

They've got circa 38% legal life left in them, are prob 120 a corner new so they're worth a good bit more than 5 quid each

Yeah it's more that I can't be bothered to put them on ebay and worry about postage etc, plus at 245/40 R18 I don't think they're a particularly common size so I might struggle to find a buyer as well.

Ive found its no longer cheap to buy on camskill et al and get them fitted as nobody will fit them for the 5/ corner any more around these ere parts. Unless you know otherwise (Wilts)..?

Same. Once upon a time maybe or if your mate works there.

Too much hassle when back street garages are quoting 380 for 4 F1s, fitted.

Im on the search for tyres right now so thats why this thread is getting a bit of a bump.

Im after good 205/50/17 tyres for my mondeo.

Uniroyal Rainsport 3 have stood out to me. Im tempted to give them a go. In the search I found this website that seems quite well priced too.

www.jungletyres.co.uk

Might be of use to someone.

Been looking recently and tyreleader seems to have the best online prices for my size 225/40/18 however costco's current offer gives a decent voucher

Buy 2:
13-16" £10 Voucher
17"-18" £30 Voucher
19"+ £50 Voucher

Buy 4:
13-16" £30 Voucher
17"-18" £70 Voucher
