So outgoes the MR2, in come the Celica T Sport GT edition.

body wise in very good condition. engine runs well etc seems like a decent buy so far. not everyones cup of tea, the rear hydriofoil is a big specucular and the sill skirts are a bit WTF. but this is an end of life run out GT model with the better seats, interior, wheels, bodykit etc

Was looking at various cars but I like this car very much!

Nice Celica, got one myself a few weeks back absolutely love it. First thing I did however was get rid of the horrible numberplate holder and use new plates and bonded them to the bumper, looks loads better :)

Cheers guys, cost me £4000~ private and it needs a service. Has a full Toyota service history from the same Toyota garage in wales (I called them to check it out too!).

The weirdest coincidence in all of this is that the girl who killed my MR2 (who's my mates mrs) is from wales, and I went to show the car off to said mate and his mrs came outside to look too. Turns out the guy I bought the car from lives in her home town of Buckley Wales, which I find statistically very unlikely and vague. We all live in Manchester north so ...

Hopefully not!

I really did want a non GT in deep metallic blue but I just couldn't find one for the right price in decent condition. in fact I only found 1 at over 5k with low miles but the bodywork was really poor. this just happened to be a nice car I phone the guy as soon as the advert was up and left work an hour early the next day to get down there and view it!

4 grand feels about right for that to me, I get really, really worried when I see threads about people considering spending £6k on a celica - they're never worth that now.

Looks in nice condition, good thing about these is they're just a hatch really so fairly practical

Only thing I don't like about the vvtli is the interior - but you can't have everything

Excellent choice. Join CCUK; very useful for tips and when things go wrong.

yea I think ima newbie on celica club already:)

yea there's a guy in stockport who says he buys all the celica gt's from the Toyota dealers around the country and sells them on. He puts 60-70k milers up at £6-7k and that's too rich for me. Same year non GT goes for about £4-5 MAX so he's craming a big markup on the GT's. But they do seem to sell quickly and there are only 700~ of them (not sure if in the UK or Europe). I think the GT interior is better than non GT (I don't like full leather, when its cheapish leather) and these have a few nice extra touches.

Is the GT model significantly faster or is it just trim upgrades? I've looked at the 1.8 VVTI before and they're only 140bhp and 0-60 in 9 seconds?:o

190bhp like the other models -GT is the bodykit and handling pack. + Wheels.

Looks in good nick and nice colour.

Gen 6 fan myself.

The sports M is top dog but is jdm import only and is full of trick bits.

There is a tuning company called se7en motorsports and they do upgraded cams for these. Around £700 fully fitted but they transform the car. You get up to 25bhp extra across some parts of the rev range!

ah yes, 190 is the better one. 140 seems like one to definitely avoid.

Love my 140 :D

Little difference in power unless you are constantly engaging lift, top speed on paper is only 13mph difference between the two as well if I remember correctly as well.

Would have gone for a 190 if I could but struggled to find a decent one without doing moon mileage to go view it + didn't have long to look for one either.

Loving looking motor mate, you will enjoy it i'm sure!
