4870 1GB Replacement (Parents PC )

Hey folks,

Struggling to think of a reasonable replacement GPU for my parent PC. Its a Bulldozer build about a 18 months old and is only really used for browsing/emails and "old people" games like bejeweled/mahjong lol

It's currently got a 48701gb in it which is at least 4-5 years old works 100% fine but when it was in my previous PC and the current one it hates restarts and doesn't recognize the monitor at all after a restart and refuses to recognize it until you power down walk away and come back in 10mins and power it up and it recognizes the monitor.

It had this issue when i had it in my old PC and it has it in its current home. also apparently its started to get a bit noisier so my parents are twisting my arm to change it and i've agreed.

I'm looking for something on par with the 4870 1GB or better for around £90,, it cant be huge and it has to be fine with a 500W PSU.

Suggestions?

please don't spend 90 quid on this. :(

pick up anything capable of outputting a signal, assuming you don't have onboard graphics to use. heck, even a used GTX460/6850 for 40 quid would make mincemeat of the old card and the new stuff that costs twice as much.
 
I know but they're insisting on going brand new despite my protests that i can pickup 2nd hand something cheaper and with more lasting ability but ...

if it must be brand new, then pick up the cheapest card you can: 20-30 quid max. spending 90 is just bonkers for the use it will get.
