Vodafone have been ringing me to arrange an upgrade as its been 2 years, however this was part of the Jump scheme P4U were running. i changed my phone from an s3 to an s4 a year ago. as far as i know the vodafone side of the contract stays the same but the Jump side may have re rolled for another 2 years from that point?

only just thought about it now, its a vague thing and a bit of a con imo dont know why i went for it.

so what im wondering is are vodafone going to sort the JUMP side out for me or will i then be stuck paying for 2 separate things for the next year?

if thats the case i wont upgrade until the jump has come to an end but what does that mean for my vodafone contract? does it just keep going until i change it or will it end after its 2 years?

sorry if this doesnt make sense :)

P4U JUMP is a total con, you have agreed to pay them a contracted monthly amount for the phone for a 2 year period, you should have been getting 2 separate bills.

One from Vodafone and another from P4U, you are still tied in with your network provider for the "tariff".

You could probably get out of the P4U contract by going down the miss-sold route but you would need proper advice on that before hand.

Pretty much!

Went to vodafone today and they recommended i go to p4u to ask how long i have left

2 staff didnt know what 'Jump' was :/

Good sign. Eventually they found out and rang the line for me to fond out what i have left. So i wont be upgrading. Ill let it run its course and never use them again :D

I'd avoid a contract anyway, buy a phone and go down the sim only 30 day route.

That way the company has to actually offer you deals every now and then to keep you as a customer. If you are on a contract they will literally do nothing to keep you. You end up stuck with the same tariff for 2 years while everyone else gets better deals.

i may look into this when the time comes! just over paying for an out of date phone now :D

Antony101 is right about that, was with T-Mobile for nearly a decade, had friends & family discount on my account and when I wanted to upgrade this month to the One M8 not even retentions could offer me a deal even remotely close to the sim only plan and buying the phone outright sim free.
