Titanfall (Respawn Entertainment's new IP)

Got this a couple of days ago and have to say it's good fun. Not really sure what I'm doing, the first couple of games I didn't realise the one shot to kill players were not real people :D, but I finally got my first pilot kill just now, though I have to say I think he was afk as he never moved as I shot him.
 
i also started this recently ellior, i picked hard domination mode?
its basically battlefields conquest mode, gives you an objective & helps you out on what to tbh.
 
key is get high quick and as far up as possible as fast as possible. call in titan quick then dominate with that.

good idea to play a few modes like last titan standing to learn to use titans properly.

pilot hunter is good for pilot play

for fun attrition and hardpoint.

Yeah this game isnt as GPU intensive as most people rthought it would be :) I am happy this runs on my 270 4GB on ultra without it pumping out a volcano of heat into my system.

you just click escape or servers may have issues.

normally if servers have a issue its quickly fixed.


as to why people rank up its good challenge as once you prestiged once you have to do challenges some are very hard :D

im gen 4 now :p
 
I also have just got this game ....the game that I was told didn't have any season passes ...but after I installed the game....season pass is ready to buy!!

Anyway.....glad I didn't pay £40+ though....quite enjoy it though .

Although I wish I could get it to play on " Monitor 2 " couldn't find an option for that though
 
Hmmm thats strange as I was told there were no DLCs or Passes to be downloaded, only reason I got it was because thats what I was told by OcUK

Still...it was half price lol

little tip play last titan standing ;)

i was struggling through them myself :D then i went and played that. i did 12 kills in two games :cool: so three games later challenge done. in normal games play would have probably took another 30 games :p

it is a grind but once you get used to that plasma and get good with it it is very effective. without the challenges i don't think i would have used it.

so it had purpose and now i have another way to play :)
 
I've tried last Titan standing but if you end up one on one at short range it's garbage and you get roasted by anything rapid fire. I've been using the MLRS. It I'm now thinking back to Vortex Shield. Can you ADS to charge the Plasma cannon and use the shield while doing so?
 
Just played some awesome games, 3 in a row without dying on attrition :D

Then I had a game where my team was doing really badly and it was impossible to drop a titan or do anything as there was a swarm of enemy titans wherever I was :(

Am I the only one who doesn't really get burn cards? It seems that I earn them faster than can use them then I have to chuck some away to make room but it just gets filled up again meaning I'm probably losing out on some good cards. Not sure why there is a cap on the amount you can collect.

once you get to 10 kills on plasma you can get instant charge.

last titan standing is quickest way of doing it just pick shots but dont rush in.
