Hello

I am not sure if overclockers website actually custom build laptops? maybe somebody who works for them can answer that

I have also asked for a pricing up for a PC but I want to keep my options open... I think common sense would be to get a new laptop to save space etc

If overclockers do not custom build laptops then I might be a little bit lost... I have seen other websites that do custom build them but it comes down to trust and opinions on specs and hardware etc for me

My budget is £1500-£1700

If overclockers do custom build them I would be looking for mainly these pointers:

17" screen at least
Powerful CPU to handle high end design programs such as Adobe premiere, Sony Vegas, 3D Studio max (all open at same time
16gig RAM
SSD C: to run the OS and maybe a 1TB second hard drive for storage
amazing powerful graphics card for the most recent games and also be able to handle future games (call of duty + battlefield etc) + have a HDMI output so I can link it to my TV screen to watch films tv shows etc

Thats just afew things lol. I dont really want to buy a laptop thats from a high street shop as it will be wayyy to expensive and the specs wont be that good

on a side note:
I live in Stockton-on-tees (near Middlesbrough) in the north east of England. So if anybody lives locally and would be able to offer and helping hand either to build for me (obviously I will pay)

Thank you for your time to read

Basically if you're looking to spend that kind of money, you're looking for a rebrand of the Clevo P370SM/P375SM... but bear in mind that it's really quite heavy.

A P170SM/177SM would also suffice as the OP has not specified a requirement for more than one GPU.

This sort of budget is basically what I spend on my Clevo P170SM based laptop.

My spec is:

- 4700MQ (there is a newer one now I think)
- 16GB DDR3
- GTX780M (880M effectively replaces this at the same price point)
- 128GB SSD
- 1TB HD
- Blu Ray Drive
- 17.3! 1080p matte display

+ All of the other usual stuff for this sort of laptop.
