Sony Xperia Z1 4.4 Update - Anyone got it yet?

I got the update yesterday.
Quite impressed.

Have no idea if this is the faulty one or not though

I got the update via PC Companion today - it's the latest one released on 10/04 so hopefully it fixes some of the reported issues with the original 4.4 update.

How are people finding it then? I'm reading on the Sony forum that it still has issues even after another update...

I've been having problems.
My touchscreen is becoming unresponsive at times (Well, not unresponsive, just not working properly, not responding anywhere near correctly), and unlock the phone doesn't always work either......

I think vendor Android needs scrapping frankly.

Should just have stock Android builds for all, without the delay too, it's a joke in comparison to iOS.

I haven't come across any problems at all so far. Phone seems to be just as quick as before. Battery drain seems slightly reduced. So far so good.

My phone is being an absolute nightmare to use this morning, just not recognising touch presses right at all.

This may sound like a strange question but are you holding the phone when it's acting like that or is it on a surface?

Holding it.

But that's no different to my usage pre Kitkat, which was fine.

I still havent had the update for my phone - mines a factory phone with no locking/branding - no idea why sony hasnt released the update yet for me!

another option would be to flash it. sometimes it takes a few months for all sony devices to get the updates.

Have you tried the Sony Pc Companion software? I have a similar free phone but only got the update via Pc companion.

Was asking as I had noticed that if I used my phone when it was on a surface the touchscreen would randomly not recognise I was touching it. Doesn't happen if I hold it
