I have a friend who recently got their first smartphone. (They are in their 60s)
They got a phone with O2 and are unhappy with what they are being charged. I know next to nothing about PAYG tariffs. They seem to be getting charged about £1 every day for something. In the first month with the phone they have been charged about £30.
They don't make many calls but use the phone for emailing and light data use.
I was wondering what the best bang for buck tariff for them to be on is? They don't want to be locked into any sort of contract so SIM only deals are out. They don't need a truly unlimited data tariff - but they don't want to have to keep topping it up. Something advertised as unlimited should be fine.
I was thinking about GiffGaff - is this the best bang for buck? I have a GiffGaff sim on my desk that hasn't been activated.
They mentioned something about a cheap PAYG sim from TalkTalk - is that worth considering?
