MSI R9 290X Lightning - logo always glows red

Hi all,

Bit of a weird one, and nothing too serious (thankfully not loaded any beta drivers after seeing previous posts) but the "LIGHTNING" glowing logo my MSI R9 290X card is constantly glowing red. There is no manual that I can find as such, but the box and reviews I have red indicate that the colour of the "LIGHTNING" logo should change from Green to Blue to Red as the load on the card increases. Even idle, the logo glows red - was wondering if anyone else had observed the same problem?

Fair enough I suppose, but seeing as there is a separate LED for displaying the power state (0/1 connectors - 2 connectors - all 3 connectors) then it seems a shame to lose this functionality!
 
Good spot littlepuppy - would be interested to find someone with all power connectors running and it lighting up green as per the review pics.

MSI do seem to make a big thing of it on their literature!
 
The card with the green logo and 2 connectors is the GTX 780 Lightning, not the 290, as there are only 2 connections total (in the pic linked to)
