Today i received a parking charge for a aldi supermarket in kingsbury.

The parking notice clearly shows a car ( same make and model). With my registration.

Fortunately the car clearly isn't mine as I have colour coded bumpers and a towbar. So I've contacted the fine issuer and set them straight with that one.

I've also contacted the police and dvla.

Any other advice?

My bike was cloned about 10 years ago I was reading through all the paperwork only tuther day, I've had the bike a year & the previous owner told me all about it when I first viewed the bike.
Included were a few letters to the police & a letter from his employers along with a time sheet proving he wasn't in London at the time of the offence.
Once it was sorted they issued a new reg number to the bike & the "Official" letter of change of reg. :)

S'pose you'd have to go through the same thing.

I'm lucky the car clearly doesn't look the same as I don't think I'd be able to prove where I was. Tbh I didnt even know where kingsbury was until I got this fine

Did you use your mobile around the time of the offence in Kingsbury ? Wonder if your Carrier could confirm where you was around about that time.

Not that it's needed if the car is obviously different to yours, Just wondered.

If this happened to me I would get a cheap private plate for my car to save any hassle if the cloned car is flagged for speeding etc.

Good shout.

I was in Bracknell at the time.

I could get family to vouch for me but that's it

Did you go to the cashpoint or buy anything with a credit/debit card that could place you there?

Also report it to the police.

Went to game, that was it.

Reported to police and dvla.

What do you thin the chances are of the parking company Persuing this? I've a good mind to bill them for my time.

Where did you park? If it was at the Peel Center you may be able to get something from them which proves you were in Bracknell at the time, the barriers have ANPR and also take a picture of the driver as you enter

Surely you don't have to prove anything, the onus on them is to prove it's your car?
The car they have a photo of looks different so end of?
