So I pull into my road last night and with it being sunny still, there were kids around playing in the street and on the grass verge opposite...
Theres no dedicated parking so everyone parks by mounting the kerb.. I see a space and pull into it, then put it into reverse to straighten up in between two cars, checking around me for said kids.
Now as I'm reversing I suddenly see a small hand in my right hand mirror pop out from the side of my back bumper. Instantly slammed the brakes and honked the horn and this kid 6/7 years old stood up from behind laughing!! I was in shock at his stupidity and decided to have words when I get out the car.. but I first need to finish parking.. Put it back into reverse and the parking sensors started going off moreso then they should have for the distance between me and the car behind. Luckily I decided not to reverse and got out the car to see a small 5-6 year old girl crouched with her back on my bumper.
I just could not believe their stupidity and when I shouted at them saying how extremely dangerous it was, a man who had been stood on the grass verge and could obviously see everything that was happening came up to me and said "Don't shout at my kids", to which I replied "Ok, I'll just run them over next time.. why the hell were you just watching!?". His reply?.. "It was funny".
Shock and Anger. In both cases, If I or anyone else wasn't paying enough attention, they would be serious injured, if not dead. And whose fault would it be!?
