Gasped in horror as I watched it overcome by mavity in slow motion.

I froze so it was under water for about 2 seconds, dived in and switched it off.

Switched it on next day and it worked for about a week but now it wont switch on

Have I any chance of getting it repaired ?

Tried putting it in a bowl of rice in an airing cupboard/warm place?

Should ideally do that ASAP for two/three days (or more) to guarantee it is completely dry before powering on. Unfortunately if it was on already when it got wet there is the possibility that something got damaged and short circuited anyway, not sure if that would be a cheap/feasible issue to fix

I did this to my old Desire but I left it for about 5 days in bits to dry properly before I turned it back on, Lasted for ages after that & now me old Ma has it.

Think by switching yours on to soon you have ****** it.

That is usually the case. You should have left it for a week really in a bowl of rice before attempting to turn it back on.

You've probably killed it. You've turned it on too soon and I suspect fried the components as a result.

Sorry.

Do you have phone insurance? If not, you want to see what your home insurance covers (ours covers phones for instance).
