Fast video converter for Ipad mini

Can anyone refer me to a fast video convert to convert videos to play on the ipad? wifey,mother in law and daugther going on holiday to spain as a bday gift from me to the wifey and i need to put some stuff on the ipad for the lil one but the one im using seems to be taking forever on the laptop (pc has no gpu atm)

its various files, .mp4, avi and etc and for some reason i still need to convert mp4? as when i go into itunes some of them says its not compatible..

Using iTunes is your first mistake tbh

I use Syncios for loading video onto the Mrs' iPad, seems a lot quicker and certainly less faff than iTunes. For conversion, Handbreak is the ticket. Not the friendliest of video converters, but well worth getting to know

Airvideo is good. You can transcode on the fly or convert and send it to your ipad.

Don't understand why you need to convert, surely even Apple tablets allow you to install decent video players like VLC or MPC?

As for "fast", video conversion speed is entirely dependent on your CPU speed.
