What has been your best job you have ever done?

Expect a call from the KGB soon dunks....

surely you cant freely admit to that stuff it must be classified at some level ??

Best job the days where the driller gets the string stuck in the well and i get to play civ 8h a day for £££.

i work as a lab tech in my current job and my previous one, i essentially play with chemicals and advanced equipment while assisting with some very high profile research projects.

I like burgers. When I worked in Burger King I got free food.

Nom Nom.

However, when I started I was 11.5 stone. When I left I was 14.5 stone!!

(mind you being a lazy bum student and drinking loads of beer didnt help!! :p )

I worked at a internal student residence in london. 1200 university level students mostly foreign students from us and china and spain etc. I had to help the students connect to the buildings internet and work as IT for the students. Which involved going in to their rooms, often girls wearing hot pants come down with their friends wanting help with their mac. No jokes. The place was £300-500 per week for a room i think it was.

Sooooo you got paid for fixing laptops and banging hot chics?

Nice!

:D

I still have never seen better looking girls than that place, but i never went to university so maybe that is why. But it was like the rich foreign students that come to london. There was some very good looking women in that place and the building had a vent/heating problem so in summer it used to get realy hot in there.

Hours were 11-7 so I could help them in evenings this allowed me to miss all the peak on trains as well.

I spent two summers whilst at university working on the river at Kingston and Richmond. Pay was OK, but I would essentially spend 8 weeks each summer reading books sat on a boat going up and down the Thames in the sun, having to maybe do a bit of actual work for 15 minutes every hour. Then they were rented out for parties in the evening!

:D

Job I just started I hope, Train driver! Wanted it all my life and finally got there after 2 years since first applying! Few weeks into training and already i'm such a happier person, although the training is intense and the possibility of losing the job is present.

I spend my working time waiting at crossings for trains to pass and at times and I am appreciative of the break but when it is home time.... Noooooo :p

My current job is the best.

Big brand company running like a small company, with short chain of management / department. Topped off with knowing stuff I design can give kids and adults joy. And unlimited sweets during work, not 100% desk bound and I get to visit Europe quite often.

Can happily stay with the company for decades, like most of the staff. Just move around different role and departments :)

Petty Officer MEM (M) on Swiftsure Class SSN'S - hope you didn't design trap 2 non return valve as it kept blocking up for years.

^^ :D

My best job was 1 year working at a very small pet store. Pay was rubbish, but it was such a sweet job. Very nice area, very nice clientele, cozy little store where I knew everything intimately. Worked on my own most of the time - on Sunday I would do open and close all by myself. There was also a store cat to hang out with. I also got to ride my bike or walk there from home, which was through a great park next to a lake and through some woods. Ahhh, so nice. Then we had a baby, needed a bigger house, etc.....had to get a "proper" job instead :(
