Shout if you think something is wrong :)

Did marvt think it was largest scrabble score? Pity if so.

Was a fun round that, pretty much the game winner for Sonea Fifer I would have thought, especially with their being so many points up for grabs!

Nah. The back of the beer says Celis Brewery so I just figured the beer name was white with Celis being the name of the brewery.

Oh well. Tasted nice :)

Just in from work and it's nice to see a good turnout again this week - well played everyone and bad luck to Marv re points.

As you said yourself though:

Oh well. Tasted nice :)

Which to my mind is why we're all competing. To sample some new beers we wouldn't normally purchase and have some fun along the way. For me there's only been one of my beer entries I've poured down the sink (my Lambic one) as it was undrinkable imo. My Tennents lager (4pk) is still sitting in my shed and will probably go out of date before it gets drank :p

Not necessarily Kino - We've still got another three rounds to play and anything can happen :D

He should have saved his Jester for this round

I played my Jester in the Micro Breweries round as I figured it highly unlikely anyone else would have a beer from a town two minutes up the round from me - It still earned me maximum points so I'm happy with that :)

Must be a story behind Sonea's beer!

Well - I bought it just last week (along with a few others) at my favourite deli while visiting St Andrews. The beer is from Denmark and from what I can gather through my limited investigation they're basically the Danish version of the Scottish Brewdog breweries if that makes sense? Having said that there's no mention what so ever of my beer entry for this week on their website so I'm assuming it's a limited edition.

Well done sonea. Mine was really nice had it last night. German brewery and nice and slightly bitter

Well I couldn't find anything out online or on their website - so I emailed the company and here's their response:

Hi.
Yes - you have bought Stalins Organ. The Stalin Organ is a weapon of mass destruction created by Stalin and still used in various war. A terrible missile battery without any kind of precision. The wars listed on the label are wars where this terrible weapon has been used. We made the beer with hope of people drinking the beer would wonder why a brewery put names of wars on the label and thereby maybe… Maybe start discussing/debating/thinking about the subject of weapons of mass destruction and thereby maybe… Maybe make the world just a little less evil.

Cheers,
Tore

Interesting choice in name, especially given it isn't on the bottle anywhere. And an even more interesting story behind the beer. As I haven't actually drank mine yet here's a review from rate beer.
