I don't know I'd have thought a lot of 360 players would love to get their hands on these games (I'm one). I personally dont see anything wrong with having access to the best games of last gen with a bit more shine (we all went VHS> DVD> Blu ray afterall).

I know everyone has different ideas where they want to see the games industry end up but for me these two games feel like the evolution of the medium, especially for single player gamers. Sales to some extent don't matter if theres quality there as they get a second chance in the sun (I'm thinking of similarly sucessful niche games such as ICO etc). With this last gen especially just like movies its easy for titles to get largely overlooked based on numerous factors other than the quality of the title (marketing, release window, availability etc).
 
WTF NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Only game I've been playing since launch is ACIV - finally managed to put some time in and get to about 50% complete. Went to play the game just now and it says DAMAGED SAVE GAME and won't let me in! - arrrrrrrrrrggghhhh!

Before I have a fit of rage and smash this thing - is there any way around this? no bloomin way I'm playing through it all again!!

Download your save from PS plus??
 
Do you switch your PS4 off as opposed to putting it on standby?? Although at least it was a while ago, because if it was more recent, that too may be corrupt lol

It stays on standby every single night bud - waste of flippin time and electricity if you ask me - the one time I needed it to 'back me up' and it fails. Thats really poor performance for something costing me £500!

Looking through the error logs there's tons of the C-wajamacallit errors but they are for my son's Lego Marvel game which I can understand (he's only 4 and messes using his vita, but he knows not to touch any of daddys games otherwise no more vita!)

This has really pee'd me off - never had a corrupt save game in ANYTHING i've ever owned and the amount of spare time I have is limited so to get this far into a game and get this - it's just downright appalling! I mean what the heck do I pay PS subs for when its touted to 'back it up' - once a month? that's pathetic.

Better go to bed now cus I'm so peev'ed off I'm contemplating sticking it on the MM......grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

It sucks but a 40% save is better than nothing at all. Even if PS+ was working properly it isn't really a true backup system... Only one copy of the save can exist there at a time and chances are it would have uploaded the corrupted save.

Only way to be safe is to manually backup saves to USB.

You was robbed if you paid £500 for a ps4 with ps+ sub.. these things happen. Calm down and put a couple hours back into the game, you will be back at 50%

I've lost a hell of a lot more in the past with a broken ps3 (which did cost the neck end of £500) what ever you do, don't try and complete the single player campaign of bf4 :p
 
Automatic upload seems to work okay for me, whenever I've looked in the Uploads section it's usually updated my save files at 7pm.

If the save file is corrupt it's probably down to the game anyway.

Interesting that! - I do recall when I first got the system it was forever updating to the cloud, but it doesn't seem to have been recently.

I thought Sony had addressed all this corrupt game saves in recent updates?

Check that both the following settings are turned on:

Power Saving Settings->Set Functions Available in Standby Mode->Connect to the Internet

System->Automatic Downloads and Uploads->Enable Automatic Downloads and Uploads

I don't think Sony have ever come out and said whether the game corruptions were down to individual games or being caused by the system when a game crashes.

I've found that if I have it auto login a user that the cloud save uploading stops working, since I set it so I have to choose the user at start up the cloud uploading has worked flawlessly.
 
if it makes you feel better i was circa 80 percent complete on GTA V and lost my save backup was about 14 percent :D (Xbox live), don't have much time to game either so feel you pain :)
