I came back from it last night. Overall a great event. Gonna note some points about it.
Good:
The atmosphere was great. Playing a CS match with the people next to us using a cardboard overclockers box as a divider.
Jaguar Halls was really well temperature controlled. At some points I even had to put my hoody on as it was a little cold. (Although that didn't stop my crappy Zotac 560 hitting 100.c
Food was nice and delivered really fast. like 2-3minutes to your desk.
Exhibition hall was good. Took part in a cs tourney. Won some memory.

Retro gaming on a neo geo was the best fun I had for a long time. Don't know what fighting game it was but it was great!
Now the bad notable points.
The Opening Ceremony - filled with kids just snatching the expo goodies and winning competitions that include mice and keyboards. I'm sure the kid who won the OCuk Prize was about 7. This isn't me being jealous at all. Seperate prizes for different age ranges next time would be advisable. (The silly "the quietest of you here gets this tshirt. I thought they was going to play sleeping lions.)
80% of the expo hall was minecraft. Now I do know that minecraft is probably a big earner for multiplay. The countless 25 quid foam items from the game going around was unspeakable. Don't even get me started about the BYOC'ers getting only 10 minutes to look around the hall before all the kids starting charging in. (That may have sounded quite harsh but hey)
Having a chat with the guys from Overclockers was fun. Although when I asked about a urgent DVI cable and asked nicely wether you had one to spare while we order one to be indicated with something of the lines of " is our warehouse here?" Was only asking a question. Maybe he was tired after the set up. Who knows.
All in all it was fun, I did find it was spoiled by the kids, but if that means the events can continue then so be it. I will be at i52. Summer Lan.
