talk about short memories, united are stupid if they sack him and its just the sadness that is the modern game, chelsea started it, I wonder how long mourinho will hold on for

Hmm im pretty sure Moyes took over a premier league winning side and fergie did not hence why the expectation for Moyes is much higher. ..

Wonder what the odds are on SAF being the manager of Utd next season? Might be worth a flutter...

Didn't Sir Matt Busby retire only to come back for a second spell?

Is Wenger genuinely going to be sacked?
I thought he did an ok job this year.
Nothing stellar, but ok.
Definitely not sack-worthy.

It was an example, however he should absolutely be sacked. He's struggling, with a 160mil wage spend, to beat Everton 65-70mil wage spend. We haven't improved in years, nothing has changed in years. Wenger has shown for almost 9 years now no ability to turn it around. Mentality, we lose the big games, tactically he still thinks it's a positive thing that he refuses to play against the opposition and then wonders why we fail to win all the big games.

It's not that he's worse this year, it's that this was that lucky year where everything went right for a long time and he ran head long into the same problems. Still couldn't beat the big players and still refused to rest any of our injury prone players resulting in multiple long injuries hurting the season. What will change next year, nothing, the year after, nothing.

Well done, Fergie didn't take over the previous years champions, Moyes did. It's a completely arbitrary and pointless comparison. Avram Grant took over Chelsea and almost won the champions league and the league in his first year in charge in England. Managers taking over top clubs will have a better win ratio than those taking over mid table or lower table clubs, that is just the way it is. Also the league was different itself, different opposition, not the same money involved, squad sizes or disparity in wealth of clubs.

Moyes isn't in remotely the same situation as Fergie when they took over Utd. When a manager takes over from the previous manager there is EVERYTHING that manager did still in effect at the club. The longer a manager is at a club the more influence he has over it. Moyes is categorically making the club worse over time with results MUCH worse in the second half of the season and he took over the champions, it is fully expected they should start the season fairly well and they did.

Sack Moyes, get over to Germany and start wooing Klopp.

He's ideally suited for the job,

- Plays brilliant football
- Good with youth
- Outstanding tactician/motivator
- Knows English

Based on your criteria, Jimmy Savile fulfills 3 of the requirements for being Man Utd manager, and I'm not sure how good he was at football.

This is a stupid stat to look back on. Compare the team SAF had at the time compared to the team DM has now.

To be fair 27 years ago football was completely different, in every respect. There are as many - points to Fergiie's first team as the current squad (with or without MF and JM)

Hilarious when people use that statistic as an argument. Because Ferguson had a league winning team when he took over didn't he...
