David Moyes disgracefully sacked

it amazes me how fergie did not go after jose, must have had few bottles of red then decided on moyes.

Quite simple really. United fans as they have told us all season long don't mind not winning as long as the football is good, entertaining and exciting. Jose doesn't give you that.

I think the guy is a genius and missed him when he wasn't in the epl but his football is not pretty. As we hear that's not the manchester united way. United fans on here used to moan about his football brand all the time when he won back to back titles.

Second he has failed to win the title with an excellent squad against Liverpool. He wouldn't have won it this year with that squad of Manu's. He would have done better no doubt but he still would have been smashed by Liverpool.

So he would have followed Fergie and not won the title while falling out with half the team. I really don't think Jose would have set himself up for a fall like that. Now would have been the perfect time for Jose, not last year.

Listening to the radio on the way home I agreed with what was said about the players. The players would never have got away with being hinting to the press about upsets under fergie. The guy that broke this news on twitter today said that at least 3 senior places have been whipping up support against Moyes. Interesting IF one of those is giggs how that sits with fergie.

I have said all season how hard it must be to motivate players at the end or know they are going to be replaced asap. The new manager has an easier job as he can do it this summer without having to put up with their lack of effort and desire. 5 or 6 of those players have been a disgrace to the shirt. I hope they enjoy Sunderland.

tbh i think its is shocking and poor for from united. Feel sorry for Moyes. yes his done **** but why leak the supposed confirmation to the media probably before even Moyes knew of it himself?

do your dirty laundry indoors!

Sack him officially done and dusted then announce to the media!

Imagine if it was actually true that Moyes found out he will be sacked from the ****ing SUN newspaper?

That is just insane

there has been no official statement other than 'no comment' on the situation.

as neville said in his interview on sky, this is very unlike man utd. someone will have been fired already for letting it get to this and not netting it.

moyes will already know if he has been sacked or not. i think he has, even if he hasn't it will be pretty difficult for him ever to be taken seriously or manage at the level expected and if he hadn't already lost the dressing room, he certainly has now.

well what i am saying is that if moyes just found out from the Sun newspaper today then that is shocking.

If he knew about it then fine. Now the players know and the whole world knows so now they are screwed.

expect united to lose their last 3 remaining games.

Whole club just got ruined.

Next season cant come any faster for you guys

he would've known before them. the poor ******* had a grim reaper sponsored by paddy power over his shoulder for the first half of the everton game :D

the ''no comment'' from the club speaks volumes.

Wenger wont be leaving this summer if they win the FA Cup and get CL football.

If he actually wins the FA Cup I feel he will leave, it's the only chance he has for the next 8 years to leave the club having won something, even if it's only the FA Cup. Like Fergie he did an extra year as he wanted to go out with a win, I think Wenger is more likely to stay if he doesn't win the FA cup, though he might be pushed if he doesn't win it. So either way quite a good chance he'll be gone by the start of next season.

No i think he will leave regardless. I have a feeling.

When he does leave i hope they dont aks him to hand pick the next manager

I have a feeling he wont. He will see winning the FA Cup as somewhere to build from. He has already stated he will sign a new contract UNLESS something bad happens.

He is not ready to step down unless they throw everything away with 4th spot and then FA Cup.

Winning the FA Cup and finishing in the top 4 is considered success, especially with the amount of money thrown around at the top.

You are so depressing. How do you know what is going to happen for the next 8 years? Its beyond arrogant to suggest we will not win anything for 8 years. Its just plain bitterness. Must be so tiresome being so angry at someone all the time, its tiresome listening to it all the time :p

I think we have a good core of players and when all fit we are very strong.

Either way I look forward to the next month of football and then the season after whether its with Wenger or not. But I think he will still be in charge come next season.

Just? Just? What the **** are you talking about?

No. This is different, and I know what I'm saying on this given the hammering I've had from the myriad ****s that have managed my club and board over the last decade.

There are ways football clubs should behave, and I've always had a grudging respect for the way manyoo have conducted themselves off the pitch. Yes, on it things have been atrocious at times this season, but this recent change is indicative of much deeper rot than just the first team manager.

It seems to me that this is all a ploy to get Moyes to jump rather than the club have to pay compensation. Pretty crap behaviour imo.

Also gutted that Moyes isn't getting another season. I think Man U were really starting to turn a cor - hahahahahahaa nope, sorry, can't do it.

Good decision to sack him in my opinion, results have been terrible and so have the performances. I agree with the decision to wait until now to actually sack him too, regardless of whether it had been decided behind closed doors months ago it makes financial sense. No club is going to needlessly ***** even more money down the drain if they can get away with making use of a clause in the contract.

It'll be interesting to see who replaces him, maybe Frank de Boer could be in with a shot, he recently said he would be looking for a new challenge but wouldn't leave Ajax unless it was the right project for him. Regardless of the failures of this season there aren't many managers that would turn United down. I'm not sure if Klopp would leave Dortmund just yet though.

Interesting that the BBC are saying there's a clause in Moyes' contract that means they can get rid with only a 1 year payoff as they won't qualify for the CL. In short, he's gone but they haven't announced yet because they want to speak to his eventual successors.
