David Moyes disgracefully sacked

I think that Moyes was just the fall guy brought in after Fergie - basically set up to fail so that a decent manager could then take over with significantly less pressure put upon them.

10mill payout and wasted money on Fellani is a big peice for a fall guy.

If the Klopp comment is true about him not wanting to leave Dortmund then that's really depressing. He would have been incredible at united.

Why would he leave though?

Sam Allardyce will probably be swooping in with a loan offer for Fellaini, I'll be surprised if United don't look to get rid like Liverpool did with Carroll.

Big Sam wouldn't swoop for Fellaini, he'd be putting his name forward for the job seeing as he'd be more suited to inter or madrid or man u as well http://www.theguardian.com/football/2010/sep/17/blackburn-sam-allardyce-inter-real :D

I have to admit, I'm not surprised JM is considering it. I do believe he wanted the United job a year ago but was overlooked because of the board and SAF wanting a "stable" manager like Moyes.

No chance Chelsea won't allow it , United board wasn't keen the first time and I don't see why that would change and being rejected I don't think JM ego would take that well

No, but I also think JM's ego wants to go to Old Trafford and re-break all of SAF's records at the club.

However, I don't for a moment think it will happen.

What's he going to do, come round and threaten us?

I wouldn't want Mourinho tbh, Van Gaal is a head case and I like that, we need a kick up the arse :D

Set up Russian nationals in Old Trafford then come annex the club and it's property as part of the Eussusn empire whilst the world sit by and wring their hands over the issue?

I was kind of hoping Arsenal would get Klopp this summer but with him saying he has an unbreakable bond with Dortmund and the fans it doesn't look very likely for either Arsenal or Man United especially with the club saying he will stay till his contract expires in 2018.

yes, but they attracted the wrong players and spent big on dross. That's just as bad if not worse than spending nothing.

Oh right, hindsight is a wonderful thing.

What happened to the **** Bale we've got Lamela and co attitudes?

My point being that it's not difficult to attract good players to a club and a Spurs fan should know that better than anyone.

Wasn't it reported that Ancelotti turned down Manyoo before Moyes was offered the job? I can't see Real getting rid of him in the summer, or him agitating for a move, anyway.

TBH, AVB could work, not that it'll happen. He's gone to Zenit and got them winning straight away. He's obviously one for the future, but meh.

Guardiola could be interesting. I really don't think it'll happen, but I suppose there's a SLIM possibility if he wins everything with Bayern... perhaps he wants to be like Mourinho and win stuff in multiple leagues... but, like I say, I don't think it'll happen.

I guess I'd put my money on van Gaal - perhaps there's a deal to be done whereby he combines the two roles, at the end of the season, until after the World Cup (in a very limited capacity, so as to help the club identify the targets he wants, etc).

I've never heard about Ancelloti turning United down.

AvB LoL :D

Van Gaal is leaving the National team after the WC.

JG on here was adamant a while ago Maureen never wanted the Utd job:D

Ancelotti was approached by Utd after he had already said yes to Real Madrid so wanted to keep his word (this is what I read today anyway)

It'll probably be Van Gaal. He's a good manager but he's also a proper mentalist. He'll be entertaining if nothing else.

I really, really hope that they do something completely nuts like get Giggs to take over permanently. Or just throw all their cash to get Brenda from Liverpool.

There were rumours that Ancelotti was SAF's first choice to replace him, but I've not seen anyone reputable claim it.

I kind of want Van Gaal now. He'll sort the players out. :D

LVG may be nuts and pull down his pants and teabag Rooney when he has another hissy fit but he made the foundations of the barca and bayern that was/are considered best teams in europe for 2-3 years I think LVG is the best choice
