Not really if a deal can be agreed before, apparently there was a meeting between Van Gaal and United recently. I suppose he now has to choose between Spurs or United

Im sure every National manager has several days / weeks free - even considering league/ CL matches he wants to cover - before WC build up starts in earnest

If (and it's a big if) Mourinho did want to join, how would we go about getting him out of Chelsea? Abramovich wouldn't be happy either and I bet he's a dangerous man.

In all seriousness if it happened why would you want a manager that did that to a club and secondly do you want to be playing football like that?

Not that I think it will happen, if he said he was considering it I'd sack him if I was roman the second United appointed someone else.

I really don't think that we should try and get Mourinho for a number of reasons. I also don't think there is any chance of him leaving Chelsea any time soon.

I think if we had the opportunity, at the moment, all things considered I'd be happy with him. His football can be dull but ultimately it works and with the right players (he's got no good strikers at the moment) I think Chelsea would have been a better team to watch.

It's not as though Pep's Bayern are any better to watch, just as an example.

It would be funny if United got Roberto Martinez and Moyes went back to Everton, they'd probably riot on Merseyside though.

I have to admit, I'm not surprised JM is considering it. I do believe he wanted the United job a year ago but was overlooked because of the board and SAF wanting a "stable" manager like Moyes.
