Drivers car, 4 seats, sub 10K. Opinions?

I'm assuming you didn't pay anything like £10k with it being a cat D, but between the two at the full budget I'd have went WRX-S every time.

I quite like the lancer, but the gearbox puts me off.

Nowhere near 10K, and the WRX-S did interest me.

You are right in doubting the gearbox though, it really is not very intuitive and slow to react in full auto, although I believe there is a software update available, which helps apparently. I've been driving it manually most of the time (and loving it) but I also really enjoy the downshifts in sport. Sad! :D
