Good and bad points about LvG although it kind of brushes over his 2nd stint at Barca and the 2nd season at Bayern.

Sounds like he is great to start with, but goes off the boil somewhat (and the Rivaldo situation seems extreme)

That's not to say he doesn't get it...
If rooney never asked for the club's transfer plans, he would never be handed that information (and even if he did ask /demand, most clubs would refuse straight away)

giggs has stated he doesn't want the role on a permanent basis

Ryan Giggs is said to have ruled himself out of succeeding David Moyes permanently as he wants to spend more time with his brother's family.

well done for contributing something useful......

That only really applies if the fella who follows the legend is allowed to clear the decks. For whatever reason, whoever comes next still has a hell of a mess to clear up before any progress will be made.

The club already realise this, its not going to be an issue.

could have sworn thats why he left Barca originally but seems I was mistaken lol

either way the conversation happened while Pep was in NY on his time away from football :)

I thought the line was that the club realised this before they appointed Moyes?
.
The Glazers obviously didnt trust Moyes' style of play and the combination of him spending £100-£200m

The other reason it isnt an issue THIS summer is that the club cant afford to have a 2nd season out of the CL. Team rebuilding HAS to happen over this summer.

Even if team morale is vastly improved over the summer by the new boss, the squad at present (minus Vidic, Rio and probably evra at the very least - even though the latter might change his mind) is only good enough for top 6 at best. Even if RvP, Smalling /Evans/Jones are kept fit for the whole season, the defence / midfield is too weak to get much higher

Again, citation? Or is this just another of your baseless assertions? :o

100% conjecture. Guardiola was living in New York for the year, Sir Alex went over and bought an apartment there, naturally a secret meeting occured, because two people can't exist within same state without having plotted together.

sound about right :)

Ryan Giggs told United's players "we will go back to playing like Manchester United" during his first team talk following his appointment as the club's interim manager.

Sounds like Giggs was never on board with how Moyes was running things from the start. Moyes doesn't sound like he stood a chance with people that highly thought of in the club thinking like that.

Be interesting to see how they play for the rest of the season. Only got Southampton as possible upset for the rest of the season so should be easily sailing.

Whoever takes over will have to do a Spurs buy all summer and that is unlikely to get them instant results. Be interesting for the neutral fan :D

Pep referred to it recemtly in a press conference ( and joked about it, possibly missimg a job offer because of SAF' s accent)

Utd dont HAVE to buy that many players straight away ( which imo was Spurs biggest mistake last summer)

Could get away with 1/2 as many and assimalate those in to the team 1st and grow from there
