"Hello fellow CL-level experienced manager, fancy a beer or glass of wine and a bite to eat whilst we're here in this fabulous city?"
"Sure"
<world screams about secret meetings>

Two peers meeting does not mean you can just assert they spoke about something specific.

It's just ridiculous he can make assertions without evidence, but then goes any questions anything negative about Manyoo (even when there's evidence) often using baseless assertions when doing so :o.

All he has to do is stop making baseless assertions...

Except it wasn't baseless..it was a well reported rumour. Whether you believe it or not is up to you, but it's not baseless.

You have a hard on for him for some reason and pick apart his posts and it's boring more than anything. Frank says something and you jump on it straight away "can you back that up lolercaust" **** that you come out with.

The link is pretty self explanatory, they met up and discussed it.

It was conjecture based on the fact they met. They fact they met can't reasonably lead to the conclusion that there was any offer made. Baseless opinion. If baseless opinion's all good, it makes any discussion bordering on meaningless.

Read the link you plank.

He's not going to come out and admit they discussed it is he? He was obviously in discussions with Bayern Munich at that point or may have already agreed to join them, he wouldn't jeapordise that by admitting to meeting Fergie and discussing taking over.

It was speculation rife in the media, that's the way media speculation works...frank is simply pointing out that there were a lot of rumours that Guardiola was offered or at least sounded out for the United Job last year...that's not baseless, it is based on the speculation at the time, speculation that even Guardiola referred to albeit in an evasive way.

Klopp is the man...or Ancellotti.

Neither of which is at all likely to be available at the end of this season. We can't realistically hope to prise Ancellotti away from Madrid unless he has a mare in the next few weeks and Klopp won't leave Dortmund for another few years.

I think Van Gaal would be a good bet for a few years. He might pee a feww people off but he is undeniably good.

I dont think it will be Van Gaal.

I wouldnt mind if it was, at least he has some track record of success and will have some currency to buy the players respect with when he starts, I just think the timing is all wrong.

In honesty it's not like the famous youth system at United has produced more or better young players than Evertons has in the last 15 years anyway. Who was the last one that was actually class? The Manu youth system has been living off the class on 92 for far too long.

I think he's the best of what look available but I'm not convinced he's the right man for Manchester United. Only Bayern on his recent CV winning anything? Lets face it Wenger could win the league with Bayern :p

His best achievements seem to be back when United were doing the treble and earlier. It's going to be a huge test for him and he seems more than a bit mental.

Oh well should be spectacular to watch either way :D

BBC and Sky both now saying Mark Hughes has been approached and will be unveiled as new boss before weekend!

I kid, I kid!

Manchester United produce more first-team players for clubs in Europe's top 5 leagues than any other team in England, according to research by Sporting Intelligence.

in the current team januzaj, welbeck , johnny evans , cleverly (lol) just of the top of my head

Exactly none, Januzaj joined Manu when he was 16! The rest I wouldn't want at Everton let alone what Manu fans think. Still terrible for a much touted youth system.
