Hi guys,

I currently have an NZXT 550w "Gale" non modular PSU and wondering if it's going to be enough to power the following:

- GTX 780 (Palit version)
- Core i5 4670k
- Gigabyte D33 mobo
- 4x 120mm fans
- 2x 80mm fans
- 1x NZXT fan hub
- Corsair H100 closed loop CPU cooler

What do you reckon? Will it be enough or should I upgrade? I've used a couple of online tools that say I should max out at about 500w but do you guys have similar setups and real-world stats?

Cheers

It should be ok for a single 780.

Is your psu a 'Hale' ? No such model as a gale I don't think :D

Also is it the 80 or 92 version ? Not that it matters much, but the 92 version is made by Superflower and is a touch more powerful on the output (540W/45A) as opposed to the 80 model which is (504W/42A).

Anyway you should be ok. The Antec rep on here (Ace Modder) was running 2 x 780's and a 4670K both overclocked with full watercooling, and the system load was 689W under stress.

Hopefully you won't be blown away by the gale :p

That figure of 500w sounds about right so as tamzzy said you'll be just fine ;)
