Yep once again, im back hesitating what to get next for my upgrade!

Basically i would like to go SLi 780 Ti's and would like to overclock the 4820K im also looking at getting.

Ive heard these new Superflower PSU's are supposed to be excellent, I wish corsair would do an AX1000, but sadly they dont. So im looking at this as a worthy alternative.

Thing is i love the look of the braided cables for the AX series as well, so what do you think guys, Leadex Platnum 1000W or AX1200i?

Leadex.

You can send PSU's away to have cables braided if that is your will..

Would cost about the same as a Corsair cable kit anyway.

Apparently, the new AXi's aren't all that. Still good though.

There's quite a price difference between the two. The AX1200i is around £250 vs £160 for the SF 1Kw.

If you want to spend that much, I'd take the SF 1200W Plat (I own one btw), but the 1000W version should do everything you need and look rather pimp doing it :)

I do!

Thats all i needed guys, someone to make my mind up for me. 1200i is overkill anyway, the Leadex is more than enough :)

Many Thanks

Echo 100% the Superflower. Corsair let themselves down on the AX1200i, they moved away from (seasonic - i think) or one of the other top psu makers (who make most of the actual internal workings of psu's) but people like corsair, EVGA etc just slap their branding on it. And as such the AX1200i was far from the quality a lot of people had come to expect from Corsair. IIRC i think Kaapstad? or another forum member had a couple of AX1200i's for a 4-way crossfire system, and found them to be poor and everntually swapped them out.

The AX760i's and other digital models around this size im sure i read somewhere were unaffected and were still Seasonic or whoever OEM beneath.

Superflower make all their own PSU's and have been around for years making OEM internal workings for other manufacutrers, and still do. I think it was Gibbo who pointed out this new range of SF psu's are them now starting to stick their own branding on their units and sell them.

If i had to buy any manufacturer psu at this moment in time it would be a Superflower no question of a doubt (although intersted to hear about the new Corsair 1500w 'Titanium' to see if they can rescue their name on this situation) but anyway heard so many good things about superflower, very highly related in reviews and even so by johnnyguru who i tend to go to for PSU reviews moreso than others as the testing is so rigorous and they seem to know everything there is to know about psu's and take them apart to examine specific core components such as the caps to see how high quality they are, and even comment on the quality of the soldering on the PCB which is a real bug bear of theirs if it isn't neat!

Great to hear, they also use japanese capacitors in their PSU's too, which is another added bonus.

From a novices view. that superflower looks hideous and very "Chinese" the packaging looks nasty, the printing on the cables looks comical.

Where did this company come from. I've not built a system for 3 years but back then it was all about Corsair, where did they go wrong?

I assume the superflower people are the oem manufactures for a big branded American PSU retailer ??

Are they really that good ?

I thought the same thing I was who the hell are these guys? I just bought a superflower 1000watt and wow it's amazing so far. Also I have to disagree with you on the looks. The superflower looks awesome! I love how the connectors light up white LED. The PSU is a winner for me :)

They are not that well known in the UK. They have been around for years though, and they make very good psu's.

Corsair psu's are going worse and worse imo due to them using cheaper oem's.

Superflower make psu's for EVGA and NZXT and probably others.
