Will cannabis 'fumes' affect me?

Went to work this morning, came home and upstairs reeks of cannabis. I've never smoked it so laugh at me for asking stupid questions, it's not someone smoking it because the smell is getting stronger and stronger.

No one is upstairs, it smells underneath the loft hatch so it's someone on this street growing it and the smell is travelling.

Well if it gets into your bloodstream then yes, to a relative degree, but I doubt it would do much damage(highness) from passive inhalation like you describe.

it's not someone smoking it because the smell is getting stronger and stronger

It probably isn't, growing cannabis has a very unique smell you can easily tell the difference between smoke and plant material that has not been cured.

the smell is so thick it almost changes the atmosphere

It's just a smell and like ant other smell it has less effect on your body than a fart

the smell of drugs?

I would have thought most young people would know about cannabis thats all no offence.

btw if you phone the police they don't do anything but come to the street have a sniff, be unable to work out where the smell is coming from and drive off.
