Stephen's Story - living life to the max in spite of terminal illness

Glad I'm not the only one who got a bit soggy-eyed.
He's ten times the man I'll ever be, that's for sure.

It must take some real cojones to adopt that mindset in such a situation. Pretty sure most would just give up, myself included.

Picked up on this story this morning after Jason Manford flagged it up. The boy (sadly he is/ was just a boy) is an inspiration. I donated some cash myself, but it's truly astounding that over half a million was raised in less than 24 hours. Amazing stuff.

Yep I agree mate, I doubt very much I could give what he has in such a situation. What a legacy to leave behind, so very sad and left me feeling quite numb:(

What a very sad story and that vile Woman has proper got my blood boiling.

Utter despicable woman, Clearly restoring the balance between good and evil. One hopes that her day of judgement will be placed in hell.

If ever there was a reason to be inspired by humanity, it is this man and his story. Feeling truly gutted and inspired at the same time, is something I can not describe, nor is it something I have experienced before.

Such an amazing achievement, and I love his way of thinking. It isn't always about how long you live, it is how you choose live it, and living your life to the very best no matter what you go through!

What is it thats causing… am I right in saying that it feels like a huge spike in cancer in the past decade? Or is it just more awareness? As it used to feel like you only knew about it on the news but then I'm finding people in town/locally are suffering cancer. Some battled it, some it came back and took them. Some died quickly with it and so on…

Is there something happening we really don't know about, the food? I don't know but it just feels something is very wrong lately.

Awareness and a certain increased amount of heavy metals getting into the food chain will have pushed it up a bit though whether its a significant amount I don't know, I suspect there has been a certain amount of increase due to chernobyl and windscale also though no idea if large enough to produce an increase in the normal figures.

Certain substances some in foods that have been banned over the years probably have a knock on effect of isolated waves of increased cancer in certain age groups.

I agree, my gf's uncle got it bad and when he went for cemo there must have been 100 people there easy doing the same session as him!
