New GTX 780

Also guys do you think I should put the step through now or wait a bit just got under 90 days yet?

Amd owners are having loads of problems with the new cards just Google it people are fed up that's why I went with Nvidia

How was I doing it wrong?

Issues with 'performance' and 'drivers' when running a single GPU is nearly always user error.

If you were having issues running 2, 3 or even 4 cards then I would put that down to drivers..

But issues with performance and drivers with a single GPU

I wonder how many amd users problems are self inflicted like mines were tho? Also as was pointed out to me numerous times its almost even the amount of failures from both sides cards

Tbh never hear of nvidia driver issues AMD have awful drivers. Let's say even if 1 out of 5 was because of user then they're doing something wrong still.... causing difficulty for people. Besides that and are hot lower performing and unreliable read the forums.. The only thing they have is price. .. even that is fading in to the bliss 295x2 for 1300. Face it people who buy amd can't afford nvidia. Nvidia is better anyone who denies it is kidding to themselves

Dude gtfo..... AMD do not have bad drivers... I've personally had ball aches with nvidia drivers in the passed.

Nvidia drivers were causing cards to blow up not so long ago!!

Nvidia are better? Tell that to people like me who like turning the image quality up to the max.....

Try telling that to 8Pack who loves benching AMD cards....

Tell that to people who run 3-4 cards

Tell that to people who run 4k

Tell that to Sony and Microsoft who have both run with AMD in there consoles.

Clueless fan boys like you shouldn't be allowed on these forums

Rofl mad?, read Press back read all the AMD problems count.em.snd then read the nvidia problems and.get back to m ;) numbers talk

I had 2 cards and they were used in multiple systems and this was an issue with the vram the cards were using so it was not error.

Never had problems in the past with amd but the new cards have so many problems.

Another thing is you get the amd and Nvidia fan boys defending thier team you have stay neutral.

I used and for years and they went bag so I switched so you have to move with the times and situation you are having.

The amd cards have black screen and flickering issues and these are not even fixed in the new beta driver. They can't seem to make proper driver to fix the issue.

As far as card failures go someone posted a link a few days ago and both company's came in about the same % of failures but I guess given the higher number of GPUs sold by amd would actually mean nvidia have a higher fail rate then again maybe not who cares.

Because it's not a driver issue and it never was.... Black screen is mainly faulty or cheap RAM that's unstable.

Cards with Hynix RAM don't have the issues...

Well how is the buyer supposed to know if it's cheap if you pay 300 quid for a card you don't expect it to have cheap ram

All the people who have this problem have bad or cheap ram then so it's even worse than drivers

But 80% of all the third party 290 series now run Hynix RAM and do not have any problems.

Bad RAM is a bit of a **** up on AMD's part but it's still the first 512bit card with 4Gb of stupid fast memory so some problems were bound to happen.

It's just as much of a mistake as Nvidia's **** up when there drivers caused £1000 GTX 590's to blow up.
