What would you choose and why?

Porsche 918

or

McLaren P1

I would include the LaFerrari, however there is too much hearsay without any real road footage available despite impressive 'claims' etc for the armchair critic e.g. me.

For me it would have to be the Porsche 918, why? Well for one I'm not a fan of turbo'ed super cars. For one it mutes the natural exhaust note. And secondly it is IMO a cheats way to more BHP/Torque despite the unfortunate circumstances that manufacturers now have to meet strict emissions attributing to the current wave of forced induction.

P1 because my friend worked on the gearbox design in his job at McLaren and I'd be like "mayte this is a bit clunky" :p

The McLaren, mainly for the looks. It's also the lighter of the two.

So, using a turbocharger to increase power output is cheating, but doing it by shoving in a sodding great electric motor isn't? :p

The Porsche, as it's something I'd want to drive every day, whereas the McLaren is more a weekend toy.

The Porsche. It just does look stunning. The McLaren looks good, but a little more restrained. And if your going to be buying a supercar / hypercar, the looks are the killer.

I wouldn't have picked the Ferrari if it were an option. Looks a great car on paper, but Ferrari generally reeks of new money to me. And obviously for me to own any of these cars it would be new money, but I wouldn't want it advertised. Now a classic Ferrari, that is different (F40 etc...)

The pagani huayara is heavily turbo'd but that sounds mean. I guess it was specifically designed with turbo sound in mind though.

I'd probably have the P1 since I'm a bit biased and like their anal (in before jokes) approach to perfecting everything.

Forget about performance because all three are crazy fast, I would pick the Porsche.

I guess I am the only person who thinks the P1 and the TheFerrari look like crap :p

Porsche because everyone else in this thread would be driving a P1.

And those top exit exhausts...
