It's a little known fact that the Fukushima nuclear power plant disaster was not related to an earthquake or tsunami, it was a tester for this card plugging it in to the local power grid and the power station ramped up too high for the draw.

You need to turn the integrated graphics off to be sure.

Also on the Firestrike and 3dmark11 benches you need to post the links so we can see the graphics scores.

Here is a run done with two single 290Xs @1018/1250 the same clocks as yours.

If you compare the graphics scores there is not a lot in it, so yes your card is working fine.
