***The Official Battlefield 4 Thread***

everybody on reddit is saying the same.

Theories are that they didn't upgrade the servers at all. They just rebooted them. The software has a memory leak so they were fine for a few days and now they've run out of memory already. DICE thought they could get 2 weeks before having to reboot them. Appears its more like 2 days.

I miss playing this game. Nobody on my xbox friends list seems to play it at all and everybody on my ps4 friends list has premium, which I don't fancy paying for as I already have it on the xbox.

I play it, just never online at the sane time these days lol

I think that if it's true that they are only rebooting servers, rather than the investment in new hardware that they've been spouting its a huge PR issue for them. Basically you just can't trust anything they say now.

For me its 1 of 2 things,

1. They don't know how to fix it
2. They don't want to pay for hardware to fix it

I wonder how much "lost" income they've calculated they have missed out on by not launching rented servers yet

Well I just went on, started a game of CA and it was rubber banding every so often...

I'm gonna try a normal conquest server.

If the rumours on reddit are true, I called that server reboot thing months ago when they released a patch which supposedly fixed the rubber banding on the infamous Lancang dam. Which after one day was back to its rubber bandy self.

Wtf are DICE and €A upto?

if it is a memory leak, then once every 2 weeks won't be enough IMO.

it also depends on how they are reset, whether it's a soft reset or a hard reset.

I would prefer a soft reset everyday at say 12 noon and a hard reset once a week say the day on which people play the least on (monday/tuesday at 12 noon).

You managed to diagnose what was needed from your armchair?

Impressive stuff!
