***The Official Battlefield 4 Thread***

I've not had any problems today.

I've just played 6 games in a row of Hardcore Carrier Assault on US East coast servers, no European servers running it.

Being the commander is quite fun. My first time using it I finished top of the leader board. Now I just need to figure out how to join my friends games.

Some good games tonight. Pretty much lag free as well.
I have a strange thing that happens in this game where it sometimes doesn't register my controller input  This is the only game on my PS4 where it happens.

I miss playing this game. Nobody on my xbox friends list seems to play it at all and everybody on my ps4 friends list has premium, which I don't fancy paying for as I already have it on the xbox.

I've moved from xbox to ps4 and don't have premium (even when I did I preferred the basic maps) 64p CQ is my go to mode though but you're welcome to join me as I'm on most evenings/weekends.

PSN = Ingenious-TROLL

game was relatively okay last night, had a few issues with the "hybrid" tanks and the textures took a few seconds to load fully on one of the maps. the earth looked a horrible blurry mess until they had loaded a higher quality version of the textures (this may just be normal and the first time I noticed it and only happened right at the start of the game).

The game did feel a lot smoother though than "normal" but we never played any of the laggy maps to properly test it out.

Naval Strike will obviously be the biggest test as well as Laggy Dam

I'm not a massive fan of conquest, I normally play domination. I don't mind giving it another go though as I do miss playing bf4.

called it first :D

I called out the software last year me lad :D

Newer and more powerfull servers doesnt automatically translate into better expeirence for the players though.

I've ran battlefield servers before, and if you're running the hardware too close to the wire, you can easily tell as the servers start behaving oddly. Like they are now though..

But thats down to the server software they are running, not the underlying hosting. They just released Server patch 15. Remember that Release 3 of the server code came out on the 21st of november

13 patches in less than 3 weeks tells you what shape the server code shipped in. I work in a hosting company that hosts 55% of the UK's medical records and hosts over 100 million patient records in it (due to dead patients, multiple records of the same patients journey through extended healthcare etc..) and there's no doubt in my mind the current **** shape of the battlefield servers is down to the software they are running on.

Running them in a MS data centre wouldn't help one jot.

Haha... Don't be daft man

They have been leaking goals at the back. Mind you Newcastle have been leaking more and simply failing to score. You can only hope.

It should have goals cannot see it being a boring 0-0 worth a watch IMO, I'll see how the first half goes even though I don't support either team, it's set up to be a high scoring game.

Now I've said that I bet you it's 1-0 or something. Both teams to score is worth a punt at bookies.

If you want to boost your goal difference, play Newcastle. I think Arsenal will have a good run till the end now, particularly as Ramsey is back.

I'll be back on playing BF4 from tonight as long as it is playable :)
