On the topic of competitive BF4, it's never going to happen. Most encounters when playing inf v inf are chance... and down to pings. How can that actually work as a competitive game?
Zhinto is a *****. He should be taken outside (virtually) and shot.
An eye opener was the lack of people playing BF4 at i51, it was dominated by CS:GO and i don't think the competition had many participants either.
It's too late to get BF4 to be a competitive game, we're too far in now since release for it to be a success (which is never going to happen). You're best of playing it with a bunch of friends trying to have a laugh.
The game is in maintenance mode, trying to regain the faith of their customers for the release of their future games by attempting to resolve issues that have plagued the game since it's release.

Yeah most of the people I played COD and BF2, etc. with are now playing CS:GO having very early on dropped bf4 but having played CS since around beta5 and CSS for years I'm bored of the game.
its just too random. the one thing you cant have in a comp game is randomness.
defeats any purpose trying to play it skillfully when its basically a game of luck and for avg joe.
i did say as soon as released it wouldn't work those who shouted it would work in the esl

BF4 was the only BF game that i have pre ordered because to me BF3 was ok in the end, i wont be doing that again.
shame it only took two years to get it sort of playable, reg and sync in it was never fixed so i very much doubt it will be fixed in bf4. Dice will just move onto the next broken iteration of the franchise.
Do people really expect a game with so many different weapons/vehicles/gadgets etc ever to be truly competitive?
Surely games which keep the mechanics simple like CS or L4D are much more likely to work as a competitive game?
Just play BF4 for fun (if you do enjoy it). I play it because every now and then it makes me actually laugh out loud.

already posted a cheque to EA for £100 and left the date off with a note "for BF5/BC3 alpha pre-order. should the game cost more, please consider this a deposit"
I am noticing a lot less bull**** instances/occurrences in bf4 though recently just counter balanced by seeming to nerf everything I enjoyed lol (or feels like it... probably me being pants )
bf4 dom isn't entirely random though, unless you have all 3 flags... then the enemy will spawn where ever. personally I think this mode sucks giant donkey **** but can see how it's competitive, just a shame the game was/still is borked so no one actually looks at it as a serious contender

Bf4 is much worse.
indeed it is, but neither are anywhere near perfect. Unlike the moh series also made by dice, reg in theese is perfect.
you should try titanfall setter perfect reg

Plus graphically, and from a sheer scale or size or complexity, there is no game BETTER than BF4. But the crappy reg and netcode issues just bring it down in fun-level.
You can have a beast game of BF4 and then rage at your next five. It's so frustrating.
Planetside 2 manages to do this better, though it's not perfect either but it's probably the closest of any game at nailing hit reg in large scale battles.
titanfall was best selling game for last two months i think so yes a lot are playing it.
titanfall does many things better but the stupid lobby system holds back what would be a massive comp game. reg is there, small games, fast, not just linear.
hopefully they get it right in titanfall 2 guess well see.
