was asked for help with some maths problems and I got stuck as well.

a, how did they calculate the number of non-fare paying passengers in GBC
(answer sheet for Q1, workings (2))

b, why is the revenue $45 mil? I'd think it would be $60 mil.
(answer sheet for Q3 a)

You are given the total number of seats as 80 and the percentage seating capacity used, this gives you the total passengers per journey. You are given the average number of fare paying passengers so just deduct this figure from the total passengers per journey to find the number of non fare paying.

once reading your post and then re-reading the 1st question (and all the details) in full it cleared things up.

basically 10% difference between fare and non-fare occupancy out of 80 = 8

That is the revenue less the target 32% mark up. It's Target pricing. These are pricing figures to evaluate if the target mark up is achievable.
