Hey, I'm building a new PC when the new z97 and refresh chips come out. I'm getting most of the parts ready for when their released, Just wondering what ram you would recommend i get for when they are released?

I mainly use my PC for gaming but also do quite abit of Photoshop work and occasional video editing. I currently have 8GB and there has been a few times when photoshop has given me a "not enough memory" error, So i'm thinking i need at least 16GB.

Budget is around £170ish

yeah had my eye on them. Would that beat a slightly higher set ~170 ? I could possibly stretch to £200 if it would be a big benefit.

Been going years and years.

Had some of their 2400MHzCAS9 stuff a year or so ago, awesome stuff.

I was about to make a thread on the same subject, im going z97 with a haswell refresh cpu. But my setup is purely for gaming, I have 2 titan blacks ready for it.
I want 16gb ram, I really don't know anything about memory. How come dual channel memory is being recommended over quad channel, which is better.

My budget is about £200 aswell.

How about the TeamGroup Xtreem LV "Frost Edition" 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-21300C11 2666MHz Dual Channel Kit

Because only the x79 support quad channel.
