What's the need for the loaded brutal. How emotive of you. Are you referring to whaling? What's interesting is the killing methods aren't dissimilar to halal.

Hunting in general for sport, if eating no problem. And yes it is emotive as I feel strongly about hurting fellow creatures for a laugh. And no halal is nothing a like.

imagine hundreds of thousands of faroese people moved here and became 10% of our population. Would you approve if school dinners and subway menus were changed to include hunted whales?

They are welcome as we would be eating it and my issue is with the sport bit. Secondly if they were born here they can do what they want, it's there country as just as much as it is mine.

I have only been to a subway once and I got annoyed with the endless questions and substandard food. I could handle the questions if it had a happy food ending.

They know by now that I want all the things, so no questions . For a fast food outlet the food is spot on tbh. Must be better for you than a couple of burgers and fries.

Boycotting Subway as a whole, or just the franchised branches that are removing pork?

I was under the impression that it was across the franchise and not just some of them? ll boycott any halal food places, if they have the sign or i ask the mif they are halal if they say yes then i won't shop there. Ill boycott subway for removing bacon alone even if they not halal though.

Can't take bacon off the menu, that's against my religion.

What I don't understand about this is why all customer requirements can't be catered for?

Especially for a food outlet with the slogan "have it your way".

Well, I want ham and bacon.

Ham and bacon substitute for Muslim customers is fine, but what about the rest of us?

Go to another shop? One of the many non-halal Subways, perhaps?

You can't get chips in Subway either. Or pizza. What if my way is to have pizza and chips in my Sub?

Most of you guys who say that they oppose halal meat only do so because it’s associated with Islam and Muslims but at the same time have no problems with eating factory farmed meat.

What an odd point of view, they have changed their menu to appeal to group A but at the same time are discriminating against group B, would it really have not been simpler to cater to BOTH groups :S

It's more a case of not wanting the food that died for me to have done so in a barbaric way. I also oppose hunting for sport.

So the slogan should actually be "have it our way, or go to another shop"?

It's a sandwich shop. Bacon is a reasonable request.

I just want bacon in my subway.

But it’s ok if the animal lived in a barbaric way?

Group B being "people who want bacon or ham in their Subway"?

They aren't being discriminated against (they're just as entitled to buy anything on the same terms as anyone else) - their favourite filling just isn't being sold in 11% of Subways.

That's kind of irrelevant, both the halal and non halal meats had a crappy life, but the idea that it was worse at the end for one type doesn't sit well with me, given the choice I would pick the one that suffered less every time.

And which is that? Personally I believe Halal slaughter to be more humane.

No, group B being people who believe making an animal suffer needlessly is wrong and would rather eat animals that didn't suffer that fate, which according to subway is now less important than the belief that animals should suffer a horrible fate because a magical saviour requires it.

They are prioritising one groups beliefs over the other when they could just accommodate both.

People once believed the planet was flat too...

(Halal animals can live for up to two minutes after their throat is slashed).
