I can assure you animals or dead things can move around long after death. Your basing your opinions off looks and blood rather than whats actually going on. I guess showing gory blood filled vids is convincing enough for some.

And why exactly is the study wrong? Because you don't understand what is being said? You're coming across as quite the pseudo-intellectual at the moment.
 
It's simple, if you don't like it then don't buy from them.

I can say in all honesty that I have never bought anything from them as I can make my own sandwiches, so it's no problem for me. Having said that, it would be hypocritical for me to complain about how an animal is killed for meat, and as I've not got enough information to make an informed choice based on the pro's and cons of each method - any reaction would be a knee-jerk one at best.

You do realise that the Islamic Website article linked to a German peer-reviewed study published in a veterinary journal ? The only criticism I would raise is that it is an old study (1970s). They were, however, motivated by German Animal Welfare law and the difference between the appearance of consciousness and pain and the scientific quantification of the same.

It's telling that it is dismissed solely because the website was Islamic, perhaps the same reasoning behind what some have against halal slaughter.
